LBD — Candidates will become certified to teach students in grades kindergarten through high school who have learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and mild mental disabilities. Candidates will learn how to adapt curriculum and differentiate to meet their students’ needs.
MSD — Candidates will become certified to teach students with disabilities that significantly impact their cognitive abilities. They will learn techniques for improving adaptive skills and best practices that help support a student’s behavior, cognitive abilities, communication, daily living skills, and social functioning.
LBD and MSD advanced programs — The advanced programs are for anyone with a valid teaching certification who wants to add special education certification.
