TEACHER LEADER

DESCRIPTION

Teacher leaders collaborate with school administrators and other teachers to identify and address the needs of an increasingly diverse student population. Teacher leaders take on additional roles outside the classroom with the goal of improving student and school performance. Additional certificate options in this program include: Instructional Computer Technology, Literacy Specialist, or Moderate and Severe Disabilities (MSD). 

Upon successful completion of program requirements, candidates will be recommended for certification in Teacher Leader Grades P-12 and applicable additional certificate options.

Tuition: $410/credit hour

Gifted Education tuition: $12,300 (30 hours)

Instructional Computer Technology tuition: $12,300 (30 hours)

Literacy Specialist tuition: $13,530 (33 hours)

Moderate and Severe Disabilities tuition: $13,530 (33 hours)

Fees:

$75 technology fee per course

$100 one-time assessment platform fee

$225 fee for each field placement course

The Master’s Teacher Leader is a 30 to 33 credit hour program depending on the additional certification area. There are no in-person class meetings. Assignments and project implementation can be based on your current or desired employment.
